Ajith took me around. Comms of where to meet were great (even kept in touch via WhatsApp as I was late!).
Good English, good knowledge. Went at my pace... read more (quick) which I appreciated. He asked at every stage what I was comfortable with (cycling, local food/drinks etc).
It would have been nice to take some pictures in the temples t their rules, not his. Would recommend.
The heart of every Indian city is bustling with markets teaming with life and economic activity. The Pete (City Market) area in Bengaluru is the epicentre of business and trade... read more for the locals of the city and beyond. Trading in the Pete is geographically divided by the commodity one wishes to buy or sell. Akkipete (Rice Market), Aralepete (Cotton Market), Balepete (Bangle Market), Chikka Pete (Small Market), Dodda Pete (Big/Wholesale Market), Nagarath Pete (Jewellers market) so on and so forth. As you’ve rightly guessed Bangalore has a market for every commodity that you can imagine.
We had a fantastic tour of Bangalore with Lily! We've been in Bangalore for a few months already, but we were excited to see more of the city that we... read more hadn't yet seen. Lily was our tour guide for the day and fortunately for us, we were the only ones on the tour so we got a private tour! Lily was so knowledgeable and really knew how to explain the history of the sights and she answered all of our questions. She did a fantastic job taking us through the market and taking us for a delicious light lunch of the most scrumptious dosa we've had while in India.
I would highly recommend this tour if you're in Bangalore. While I feel that the price was a bit high for the tour, I do think it's worth doing if you have the budget. Going to the market was our favorite part!
Thank you again Lily for a fantastic tour!
