You’re cared for and it’s our job to ensure a memorable journey when you decide to #GetUnventured on our perfect outdoor adventures curated just for you. With the world facing global pandemic and being locked down in houses for long periods of time, we understand that there’s an urge to step out.
As Unventured gears up to #RestartTourism, we want you to feel comfortable and confident on a worry-free outdoor adventure. The decision to travel or not is completely your choice. When you do decide to explore the world again, we will be here waiting for you. Below you’ll see the extra precautions we’re taking to help you decide when you’re ready to travel again.
– On Unventured way of travel we have carefully selected small properties that are exclusive for our small travel group only. The properties maintain high standards for hygiene and quality. We are asking all our hotel operators to abide by an enhanced safety protocol for cleaning and physical distancing.
– From disinfecting vehicles before every time you board to sanitizing the touch points on the cycle; every piece of gear that needs it, will get a daily cleaning. We will ensure the touch points are sanitized multiple times for your safety.
Staying Educated and Keeping You Informed on Latest Updates
– We’re always monitoring what’s happening and how it impacts our trips and this pandemic is no exception. We’re using the latest recommendations and advisory from the WHO and travel trade associations, along with consulting local authorities where we travel, to guide our decisions for your tours. We’ll keep you updated with any important information related to your departure.
Remote Support & Prepared Tour Leaders
Our offices are equipped for emergencies, and we’ll be there to provide support for you and our field team when needed, if you choose to go on a Self-Guided Tour. On Guided tours, our Tour Leaders, already trained in First Aid, will have a protocol to follow in case of any health issues. A new training program for our Tour Leaders will set them up to support you as we travel in these unusual times. They’ll be proactive communicators and will be prepared to manage logistics around any adjustments needed during your trip.
Arriving Healthy
Your health is our primary concern and we want to be sure you’re fit to get on board for the journey. On day one of your Unventured tour, you will be checked for temperature and anyone running with a temperature of more than 98.6° F will be immediately directed to get in touch with local medical authorities.
Face Coverings
We’re recommending that all travelers bring their preferred face coverings, and ask you wear them when in close proximity with other travelers. However, while being outdoors and at distance the choice is totally yours. We’ll do our best to have hand sanitizer available, but it’s always good to bring your own.
Travel Closer to Home
As travellers exploring various corners of the world,, you may have missed out on the hidden gems in your own backyard. Take day tours or shorter distance getaways, and explore nature and the outdoors. Come join us as we immerse into the natural heritage of India on an active adventure; or take a drive tour with us.
Small Groups
Unventured way of travelling has always focused on small groups, so this is nothing new for us. We will continue to keep our travel groups small of 8 to 12 participants, and will be following each state’s guidelines for group capacity, if any.
Private Tours
The idea of taking your friends or family somewhere cool and amazing is actually pretty easy. Tell us what you’re thinking and we’ll make it happen. Any trip on our website can run as a private tour. Private tours provide an ultimate safe bonding experience.
Local cuisines and flexibility in dining
On our tours, all meals are included to give the traveler an opportunity to indulge in the local delicacies. We’ll work to ensure you have the flexibility to dine as you wish: together as a group or on your own. Picnic lunch amidst nature? More than ever. Dinner with group, or simply room service? It’s your choice. In general, we’ll avoid large tables as we build in more opportunities to taste the best the region has to offer and to socialize however you feel comfortable.
The Responsible Traveller
Unventured has been conscious of the way travel affects a region and its people. Being aware of social and cultural norms, impacts on how we approach responsible tourism. Simple things like carrying our own water bottle over using one-time plastic or saying no to visiting a zoo for we believe the safest for an animal is its natural habitat make a difference in our travel ecosystem. We share insights into the region we travel to with our travelers and encourage them to be conscious and aware of their affect while exploring.
When on the roads, there are certain factors within our control and some aren’t, but we believe the Unventured way of travel has always primarily focused on safety. Of course, whether you’re traveling the world or sheltering in a place, life is never completely risk-free, which is why only you can decide what’s right for you. If you decide to step out for a cycle ride, a hike, or simply drive outdoors amidst nature then we are here to curate a safe and adventurous travel itinerary for you.
